* A NIGHT OF JAZZ NOIR WITH THE A NIGHT OF JAZZ NOIR WITH THE

Tickets: $15 in advance - all $20 at door This concert brings together some of the top jazz musicians in the southwest. Take a journey with the Pete Swan Quintet and To-Ree-Nee Wolf through the blues and jazz associated with the film noir style of the late 50’s and early 60’s. Pete Swan (drums) is a bandleader, drummer, educator, vocalist and composer. Pete has studied with Jeff Hamilton and performed with Bud Shank, Bob Florence, Doug Webb, John Clayton, Kristin Korb, Judy Roberts, Greg Fishman and many others. Pete is currently running and promoting Big Band Express, a professional big band in the Tucson area. Pete has been running a concert and jam session for over 15 years on Sunday nights at local venues and has played at Pastiche restaurant weekly for almost two decades. To-Ree-Nee Wolf is a veteran actress, singer and visual artist. Her mural called "Creation Story, Chaos Theory and Quantum Memory" has helped reinvigorate the downtown Tucson area. She was also recently seen in Tucson's premier of Black Pearl Sings! at the Invisible Theatre.

Tickets: $15 in advance – $20 at door Join the Green Valley Summer Chorus in celebrating their fifth annual summer concert here at CPAC. This forty-voice ensemble, under the direction of Tamara Kahrimanis, will feature a variety of music ranging across the choral repertoire. The majority of the chorus members currently perform in the Green Valley Community Chorus (GVCC), a non-profit choir composed of approximately 80 enthusiastic voices from surrounding southern Arizona communities. Their mission is to bring beautiful music from all eras of history to our community through quality performances of great choral works, both sacred and secular. Funds from this concert will benefit both the Community Performance and Art Center and the various philanthropic endeavors of the (GVCC).

* THE ARIZONA BANJO BLASTERSTHE ARIZONA BANJO BLASTERS

Admission is free (tickets required) The Arizona Banjo Blasters were founded by Rob Wright in 2007 with the purpose of promoting the legacy of the four string banjo. The Arizona Banjo Blasters are a band of 18 banjos, washboards and a bass. Their music will bring back happy memories with lively renditions of songs from the past century. You won’t be able to sit still as your toes start tapping along with songs you know and recognize but haven’t sung for years. The Blasters are an all volunteer, 501c3 nonprofit corporation and all funds raised from performances are donated to local charities. They have fun, and we know you will too!
