* GOOD ROCKIN’ LIVE!GOOD ROCKIN’ LIVE!

Time: 7:00 pm

This live concert event pays tribute to the birth of rock and roll and the music legends that Sun Records helped propel to star- dom. In 1952, Sun Studios opened up shop in a small storefront in Memphis, TN, setting off a chain of events that would change the course of musical history. In a few short years, this little re- cord company produced superstars such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, and B.B. King. Good Rockin' LIVE!, with hits like Great Balls of Fire, Folsom Prison Blues, That's All Right Mama, and Blue Suede Shoes, tells the tale of how rock was born through the music and stories of those who lived it.

* JACK LASSETER JACK LASSETER

Time: 7:00 pm

From Missouri to Oregon, by wagon and on foot some 2000 miles they went. Out across the Great American Prairie that stretched endlessly to the horizon; over, around and through the Rocky Mountains; and then the treacherous Columbia River Gorge lying there in wait for them. Away from family and friends, away from doctors and civilization. Why did they go? Why then? What was it like on the trail and who went? Would you have gone? You decide, for this is not a myth, but the true story of the Oregon Trail, and the way Jack tells it is fascinating.

* ACOUSTIC EIDOLONACOUSTIC EIDOLON

Time: 7:00 pm

Acoustic Eidolon was formed in 1998 by Joe Scott and Hannah Alkire. Joe attended the Guitar Institute of Technology in Holly- wood, CA and studied all styles of acoustic and electric guitar with many of the world’s finest guitar players, such as Tommy Tedesco, Frank Gambale and jazz great Joe Pass. Joe toured the country playing guitar, banjo, mandolin and vocals with the New Christy Minstrels. With help from Steve Mesple, he developed the 14-string-double-neck guitjo, a combination of guitar and banjo. Hannah Alkire has studied cello with Gabriel Magyar of the Hungarian String Quartet, played with bluegrass great Alison Krauss and performed in multiple symphony orchestras. Han- nah’s expansion to rock, funk, and alternative genres later led to performances at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. This performance will include material that spans Acous- tic Eidolon’s entire catalog, much of which has Celtic, Flamenco and Americana influences, in addition to some covers like Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven and the Beatles’ Eleanor Rigby.
